America United Soccer Club was founded as the Gold Star Soccer Club in 1986 in an effort to provide a top-quality Soccer Club for children in Whittier, La Mirada, La Habra and surrounding areas. The Club plays in the Coast Soccer League which is considered the top league in California and, by many, in the entire USA. Many of the children in the club come from under-privileged families and cannot afford the annual fees which covers training, league registrations, tournaments, field fees, and referee fees. As a result the club relies heavily on fundraising and sponsorships to gives these children a chance to play. In addition, the Club organizes international soccer trips and tours. These tours not only allow the children to play against top teams from other countries, but also provide the children with cultural experiences which many of them would not otherwise enjoy. To date, our children have visited and competed in Hawaii, Jamaica, England and France. We plan to play soccer in Italy this Christmas.

Currently, the Club raises most of its money for training and travel by volunteering at Home Depot Center and Anaheim Stadium. However, these funds do not cover all our expenses. The Club must turn to corporate and individual sponsors to support the kids who want to play but cannot always pay.

The Facts & Needs

The year-round club soccer season begins with pre-season tournaments, the regular league season starting in fall, followed by the League, State and National Cups in winter and spring. The season culminates with post-season tournaments held in summer. Most of our teams are limited to participating in one or two pre- and post-season tournaments due to the high cost and the families inability to pay.

As AUSC grows, we strive to ensure that the highest-level of training is provided for all our teams. This requires considerable funds to attract and maintain quality trainers.

All qualified Sponsors will be acknowledged on our Club Website. Additionally, all Corporate Sponsors will receive considerable advertising exposure, with their company logo printed on practice uniforms, and t-shirts worn by AUSC players and their parents who attend numerous soccer events / tournaments throughout the year.
